一 |     (ECNS) -- Datong City in north China's Shanxi Province saw its agricultural imports and exports exceed 250 million yuan (about $35.7 million) in the first half of this year, with notable growth in both trade volume and product quality.        Datong Customs has introduced full-cycle services and smarter supervision across the agricultural supply chain. Working with local agricultural and market regulatory authorities, it carried out joint inspections, training, guidance and problem-solving services, visiting more than 20 enterprises during the first half of the year.    The Datong Municipal Commerce Bureau has also adopted a tailored "one enterprise, one policy" approach. In Tianzhen County, a cross-border e-commerce and miscellaneous grains industrial park has been established, bringing together nine agricultural e-commerce companies and creating a digital channel for local agricultural products to reach overseas markets.    Customs authorities have also stepped up support for local exporters. In Hunyuan County, officials have worked with enterprises to facilitate exports, while a company in Lingqiu County received one-on-one guidance on registration procedures for exporting chili sauce to Mongolia.    Datong Customs has also helped leading companies, including Tianzhen Bocheng Vegetable Co., Ltd., obtain AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) certification. Measures such as online certificate issuance and streamlined customs clearance procedures have further improved efficiency.    Processed food exports have emerged as a key driver of growth. In the first half of the year, Datong's tomato paste exports surged 476.2% year on year, while buckwheat flour exports rose 47%.    Dehydrated vegetables from Tianzhen County have also been showcased at several international exhibitions, helping local companies secure orders worth millions of dollars.    Datong has continued to expand the overseas reach of its agricultural products. Locally produced tomato paste has entered markets including Russia, Mali, Moldova and Gambia, while the city exported tomato sauce to the Republic of Korea for the first time.    Local companies have also participated in major international food exhibitions, including SIAL Paris and the Global Traditional Food and Nutrition Products Expo, securing multiple cooperation agreements. Meanwhile, international recognition of "Datong Hao Liang" (Datong Good Grains), the city's regional agricultural brand, has continued to grow.    (By Tang Yuxian)                    。    Jaya Bachchan sparked quite a discussion with her straightforward take on marriage during her conversation with Barkha Dutt at the We the Women Mumbai session. When asked if she would encourage her granddaughter or young women today to make the same choices she once did, she didn’t hold back. “I don’t want Navya to get married,” she said, making her stance instantly clear.           When the conversation shifted to whether she felt the institution of marriage itself had become irrelevant, Jaya agreed without hesitation. Calling it “absolutely” outdated, she pointed out how different today’s world is and how rapidly relationships and expectations have changed over time. Her comment naturally added fuel to the ongoing debate around what marriage means to younger generations now.     She also opened up about how quickly social norms and parenting styles have evolved. Laughing at her own role as a grandmother, she said, “I’m a grandmother now. Navya turns 28 in another few days. I’m too old to advise young girls today on how to bring up children,” adding that kids today are so sharp that “they’ll outsmart you.” It was her way of acknowledging how much the new generation thinks for itself.                Toward the end, she lightened the mood with a cheeky comparison, saying that a legal stamp isn’t really needed to define a relationship. Referring to marriage with humour, she said, “Woh Dilli ka ladoo-khao toh mushkil, na khao toh mushkil. Just enjoy life.” Her remarks quickly travelled online, sparking another round of conversation about how attitudes toward marriage continue to shift. Also Read: "Film World Is All False" - When Dharmendra Spoke About Why Guddi Was Made。
